Out of District Students
Montana House Bill 203, passed in the 2023 legislative session, revises education laws to allow students to attend schools outside their home district. This policy aims to enhance educational opportunities by enabling greater school choice for families. It includes provisions for additional funding to schools like Target Range School to accommodate out-of-district students. This funding aims to support the school's capacity to provide quality education and resources to a more diverse student population. The bill also outlines specific criteria and processes for enrollment, ensuring that the quality of education for resident students is not adversely affected by the admission of out-of-district students.
District Policy 3141, linked below, outlines our procedures for accepting out-of-district students.
